For the first time after a troubling marriage Layla dares invite a new man to her life. Her alarm system is on fire. With her 9-year-old twin daughters, both rewarding and challenging in their own ways, the undertaking proves all the more difficult. New love interest Robin isn’t deterred at all, until his façade slowly starts to crack, and Layla’s house is in trouble again.

When Viola, Hannah, Aaron and Timmi lose both parents in a week they’re facing uncomfortable conversations around their upbringing, individual needs as well as different experiences under the same roof. The siblings negotiate what family means while trying to function in a highly emotional moment of organizing the funerals of two people who couldn’t stand the smell of each other.

IR/RESPONSIBLE is, at least in the beginning, a musical comedy about highly motivated and equally unaware Thomas who leaves his beloved country for the first time to gain experience abroad and carry the Austrian (hospitality) values out into the world. Once he operates in a grand hotel in New York and outside his bubble, Thomas gets confronted with dark family secrets as well as his lack of understanding of cultural differences and the existence of more than one truth.
